84 Lumber believes everyone deserves a home for the holidays, especially those who have bravely and selflessly served our country. This holiday season, 84 Lumber will be supporting a different military and veteran housing-related nonprofit each week throughout the month of December. Operation: H.O.M.E.
After hearing how few soldiers can afford to come home for Christmas, military parents Melissa and Byron Davis founded Operation H.O.M.E. to help our military’s enlisted come home for the holidays. Since 2015, Operation H.O.M.E has continued to raise funds to cover travel costs for those enlisted. To show our appreciation, 84 Lumber is donating $15,000. With our donation, Operation H.O.M.E. will be able to unite even more military families this holiday season.

Operation Homefront
For over twenty years, Operation Homefront has been building strong, stable, and secure military families. Operation Homefront supports military families by providing short-term financial assistance by covering utilities, rent, and repairs, long-term stability with mortgage-free homes, and reoccurring family support. 84 Lumber is honored to announce we will be donating $15,000 to Operation Homefront. Together, we can make a positive impact in the lives of military members.

Habitat for Humanity: Veterans Build
84 Lumber stands with Habitat for Humanity’s vision of “a world where everyone has a decent place to live.” Through their Veterans Build Initiative, Habitat for Humanity supports our nation’s heroes by providing volunteer, employment, and homeownership opportunities to U.S. veterans and military-connected families. This holiday season, 84 Lumber is donating $15,000 to support Habitat for Humanity and its efforts.

Gary Sinise Foundation: RISE
84 Lumber is proud to donate $15,000 to Gary Sinise’s R.I.S.E. Program. Through the R.I.S.E. Program, they build specially adapted smart homes for our most severely wounded heroes. They also provide home modifications, mobility devices, and adapted vehicles. Together, we can make the holidays special for the men and women who serve this country by making their homes easier to navigate—and more comfortable than ever before!
