We couldn’t be more excited to launch the 84 Lumber blog! Each month, we plan to use this all-new blog to showcase our stores, brag about projects we’ve been working on, talk about our awesome associates and share project inspiration with you.
For our first post, we are happy to showcase our very first 84 Store of the Month – store #0620, Riverhead, New York. The beautiful Riverhead location is more than just a lumberyard, and it’s a store we have been wanting to show off since we renovated it in 2017.
The 36,000 square foot facility features a Kitchen & Bath design studio, an Andersen A&E window showroom, a custom millwork shop and one of Long Island’s best reclaimed-wood displays. From barn doors to custom cabinets, wood moulding, or wall moulding, our Custom Millwork shop can grind custom knives to match historic restoration profiles or produce a one-of-a-kind product to match your unique style.
Meet the Manager
Our store manager, John Greenwood, has been with 84 Lumber for almost 15 years now, and he’s been managing the Riverhead store for over four years. He has worked diligently to grow relationships with vendors, partners and customers in the area, and he’s built a great team over the last few years. He and his team are thankful for the opportunity they have been given in Riverhead. They are a competitive bunch and always aim to beat out all competition and hold their title as the #1 building materials supplier in the area!
Dream Team
Riverhead isn’t the only 84 Lumber store on Long Island. Store #0624, Patchogue, services Montauk all the way to the Bronx. Patchogue Manager Don Garten says that they’re working together with Riverhead to help each other give all of Long Island A+ service. The teams share a Kitchen Designer and a Market Manager, and together, they are a powerhouse that is working harder than ever to build the American Dream across the region.
