Summer of DIY with 84 Lumber
It’s been a busy summer at 84 Lumber! We’ve partnered with builders, renovators and DIYers across the country to create some amazing projects using 84 building materials. See what they’ve been up to and get some inspiration for your next 84 project.
1. Philip or Flop
84 Lumber partnered with scientist by day and DIY expert by night, Philip or Flop, to tackle his biggest project yet! This summer, we supplied the materials for Philip’s impressive porch extension. From the framing, to the composite decking, to the rooftop shiplap, it’s been amazing to watch Philip use 84 Lumber materials to build his porch from the ground up.
Check out his finished project here.
2. Courtney Brennan
We're loving these custom doors our 84 Custom Millwork Shop created for Pittsburgh local Courtney Brennan! They perfectly complement and update the entrance, while remaining true to the original character of the house.
Follow along here, as Courtney continues to restore and renovate an 1800 Italianate-style home.
3. The Forge House
84 Lumber is excited to be partnering with The Forge House, a growing family renovating an abandoned 6,000 square foot stone estate in Pennsylvania from the ground up. We’re providing all the building materials to help this family revamp the run-down Forge entrance. We can’t wait to see the finished project!
4. Mike Clifford
Who doesn’t love a rooftop deck? This summer, we partnered with self-taught Chicago woodworker, Mike Clifford, to help him complete his 3-day floating roof deck challenge. To see the deck come together, click here!
5. Sheryl Sanders
We’re still obsessing over Harrisburg, Pennsylvania DIYer Sheryl Sanders’ bathroom transformation. Using 84 Lumber lattice strips, Sheryl was able to create the ultimate spa vibes right in her own home! Click here, to watch Sheryl’s step-by-step tutorial.
6. Kate Rumson
Progress continues on founder and creative director of The Real Houses of Instagram, Kate Rumson’s, dream home! Recently, 84 Lumber supplied the materials for her portico. Using split portico columns, Kate was able to cleverly hide some unsightly downspouts.
What do you think of this idea? Check it out here!
