A rendering of the planned rebuilding and expansion of the El Paso, Texas store
EIGHTY FOUR, Pa. (April 02, 2026) – Following a recent fire at its El Paso, Texas, store, 84 Lumber is continuing to serve its customers and is grateful to report no injuries were reported thanks to the swift response of the El Paso Fire Department.
“Despite this setback, our team is safe and resilient. We’re incredibly thankful for the first responders who acted quickly and with urgency,” said El Paso store manager Julian Tobias. “Our team hasn’t missed a beat. We’re still showing up every day and continuing to support the builders, contractors, and families who rely on us.”
84 Lumber donated $5,000 in appreciation and support of the men and women who serve EPFD on April 2, 2026, at EPFD’s Station 2.
“To our El Paso community, thank you,” said Tobias. “We’re not going anywhere. We’re proud to be part of this community, and we will continue to stand alongside it as we work to move forward.”
The company has been operating in the El Paso area since 1981. As the company begins rebuilding, the store will also be expanding the store. A grand reopening celebration will take place in the future.
“We’re already working on plans for the future of this location,” said Tobias. “Stay tuned as we share a first look at what’s next.”
