Eighty Four, PA (August 31, 2021): Today, 84 Lumber proudly accepted a 17th annual National Preferred Partner award from David Weekley Homes, one of the nation’s largest privately-held home builders. Through its National Preferred Partner awards, David Weekley Homes recognizes its top field and manufacturing partners each year that have consistently operated at world-class levels, as determined by the home builder’s supplier evaluation platform. This is the second year in a row that 84 Lumber was selected for the honor.
“Without National Preferred Partners like 84 Lumber, David Weekley Homes would not be able to deliver high-quality products and exceptional customer service,” said John Schiegg, vice president of supply chain services for David Weekley Homes. “By constantly striving for the best, together we’re creating a world-class home building experience for our customers.”
Based in Houston, David Weekley Homes is present in 19 cities across the U.S. and has worked with 84 Lumber on several large- and small-scale projects. 84 Lumber was selected among other partners including Builder’s Insulation, HomeTeam Pest Defense, Lanehart Electrical and more. A total of 140 companies were evaluated for this year’s awards, and only 18 percent achieved the designation of National Preferred Partner.
“The team at David Weekley Homes always goes above and beyond for home buyers, and we are thankful for their continued partnership,” said Billy Ball, national vice president of sales at 84 Lumber. “David Weekley Homes' focus on customer service and quality work pairs well with the values we have at 84 Lumber. We look forward to building with them for many years to come.”
